Grand Theft Auto V is the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar Games has yet created, and takes full advantage of every ounce of processing power available in the current generation of consoles. In order to provide the best possible experience for such a massive and detailed world, the game will have installation requirements on the PlayStation 3.

Grand Theft Auto V ships on one disc and will install content as soon as you insert the game. The install is roughly 8GB, and players will be able to play as soon as the install is complete.

Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without any need to switch discs.

This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive (sold separately) with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance.

Im so tempted to just buy it now, but have preordered an Xbone, so may just wait.

Eagerly awaiting a PC release date of course too :p
 
Problem is, I'm pretty sure if you try GTA online on either console before the release date, you'd probably expect an incoming ban - though GTA Online isn't out for a few months anyway :)

I know what I'd be doing...! (offline!! :D)

GTA Online isn't open until a week after. You shouldn't be banned for playing the game a day or so early but someone who has recently been uploading some gameplay clips from an early copy he has as had his Xbox banned. Which I find odd :p

I'm wondering if it is maybe a marketing thing tbh as its only Vine clips and they use the ban Vine to scare people off from uploading their own gameplay clips if they do manage to acquire a the game early.

I thought the person was banned for playing the game on an xbox 360 before release and then started uploading pictures & videos.
 
Ahh, If I wasn't so short on bank funds I'd preorder it right now, But hopefully i'll be able to break my piggy bank and get it on the day, and grab it during a "Early" lunch break.
 
I'm tempted to get it but i'd rather have it on the PC.

Not played GTA since GTA3 on the PS2, would you suggest playing through the other games first or is it not worth it?

It's probably not worth it now, GTA San Andreas was truly revolutionary and would be the game I would recommend to play, but GTA V is based around the same location with lots of the same things because they knew it was the most popular.
 
GTA SA is awesome, Still play it now, bit with hundreds of other people online using the GTA SA-MP mod.

Loads of different type of servers to play on, ranging from DM, RPs, Stunt servers with custom mapping, yes...you've missed a lot.
