She plans to turn the site of the Tesco boss's house into a community garden.

A spokesman for Tesco said: "This is just a publicity stunt.
"Unlike this application, for our application we spoke to hundreds, if not thousands, of residents in Kirkby, the vast majority of whom recognise this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which will create 2,000 jobs."
??? I can't believe you don't know.Always wondered, when houses have to get demolished to make way for stuff like this
What do they do to the houseowners?
Give them the money for the value of the house? Or are they just left on the street lol
??? I can't believe you don't know.
Tesco hire loads of builders that also happen to be co-trained as ninjas. They then wait until someone leaves their house, un-camouflage all their equipment and knock down the house in a few minutes. They then go back into hiding and wait for the next house. Eventually they've knocked down the entire street. Then, late at night, they build a Tesco on the land.
Surely this can't be done for private enterprise?!?The houses are bought from them using a compulsory purchase order I think?
lol. Sorry. I assume they'd be given market value + %. I don't know for sure, though. Unlike in China where the literally do what I said. That or beat you up until you move.Oh right ok cool, makes sense, kthx
I'm asking how the homeowners are compensated, believe it or not, I've never been in this situation so never needed to know
