I'm running Quad SLI right now with 2 7950 GX2s. The 8800 GTX's are looking pretty nice though, and I can step-up within the next 2 weeks since I have that EVGA step up prgram so 2 8800's should cost me, im just guessing here, around 120 pounds total?
2 Questions now
one, is it worth stepping up? I know its DX10 and all, but as people have pointed out, not too many games will be, and also, it'l run only on Vista, and I have no intention of switching to Vista for another year or two. Of course the point is that when I do switch to Vista, I won't have to worry about my gfx cards not being compatible with DX10 and what not.
Also, the serial no. of the card. I think i've throw away all *** original boxes and all so was wondering if there is any other way of finding out the serial no. of the card. Would it be written on the card itself? Or would something like everest or belarac advisor be able to tell me?
Thanks
