Hey there,

I bought a MSI Twin Frozr 560Ti 2mb card from overclockers about 4months ago...Its been Ok until recently.

When I play World of warcraft it sometimes does, What i can only describe as 'Rainbow' coloured triangles on the scree when I turn the camera in certain directions...And in some extreme cases the whole screen does this and I have to relog which causes a fix.

On 2 occasions, When I was watching a Youtube video the screen would freeze and purple/pink pixels would appear all over the screen and I would have to restart the computer.

I immediately thought it was a GFX issue, as I had this kind of thing happen to me once before and it turned out that it was the GFX dying. As I only had the card for 4 months I sent it back to Overclockers RMA, Where they tested it for me and found no faults with the card at all.

So here is my question, If its not the graphics card, What else could be causing this to happen?

Thanks

Carl

I have had occasional issues (3 or 4 times) recently with pink screens (GTX 460) and it only started occuring once I installed NVIDIAs latest drivers (296.10).

I reverted back to the previous drivers and it hasn't happened since.

its sounds like dodgy gpu memory. most likely faulty i have had similar issues with one of my 6850 and sent it for rma today.

Hmm I don't have one no.

Thing is I never really experienced any problems in Starcraft 2, only in Wow...and then obviously there was that time on youtube as I wrote in the original post.

I got my Graphics card back from Overclockers after the RMA...Logged into Wow, And here is what happened.

As I said, I got the card back from Overlclockers who said there was nothing wrong with it, It passed all tests etc...What else could be causing this?

Any help would be awesome.

Carl

Hey,

Card is seated properly, All connectors are in properly.
Drivers are the latest version from Nvidea.
Did a WoW repair.
Not sure how to use that first program to monitor my gpu...as it only had option for Cpu monitor (Gpu monitor greyed out)

I did download Fumark and did a 15min stress test (Custom Resolution 1680x1050).

18fps minimum
29fps maximum
28fps average
81 degrees maximum temp

I did notice a bit of tearing on that test though.

If you can see across the center of the hole, where it tears.

Maybe you can see it better here?

Not overclocked my car at all.

Carl.

I would say its graphics too, althugh dodgy/underpowered PSU can cause the same issue.

Re-seat it and re plug connections (try other 6pin's if you have them) just to make sure its not anything simple.
What brand is your PSU?

At the time this problem started, had you installed any new hardware or software?
I assume your settings in WoW did`nt change.
What res. are you playing?
Run Furmark for 2 hrs. Then as i said earlier, post the results and pics to Ocuk.

Tba, i would send these pics to Ocuk and see what they have to say.

This. Sounds like you've tested the card fairly extensively, perhaps link this thread in the customer services forum, I'm sure 5UB would kindly look into it. Also find out exactly what OcUK did when they tested the card.

Hey,

Had fresh install of drivers, Yes. Had not installed any new hardware/software and My wow settings have not changed.

I play at 1680x1050 resolution.

I have basically copy/pasted the original post (With pictures) into the Customer services section of the forum so lets hope I can get some help there.

Carl.
