Heya guys, I just plugged in a new 4k display and all was well apart from some games having a wash out of colour if there was any movement inside the game, It was horrible. So I thought I'd restart maybe missing a driver or something and that caused so many issues.

My 4k now displays at 1440p however both nvidia CP and windows CP display it running at 4k it is not, The display is 1440 and shows this in any game I play, So whats happen? Has my graphics card died/bugged? The scales are way off and even my 1080p screen now looks like a 720P even tho its set to 1080p? >:C

Uh....

Windows and nvidia believe my screen resolution is set to 3840 x 2160 but games and the internet suggest my screen is 2560 x 1440.

What do I do?

Things I have done:

Uninstalled displays in device manager.
Reinstalled new graphics drivers
Installed old graphics drivers
Unplugged display etc

Better? :P
 
It was running 3840 x 2160 for 10 minutes and now its a dud screen and is only running 2560 x 1440. I may give overclockers a call 2mro and ask about it. But it's super rare, I've only seen one thread post about this in nvidias forums...

Yeah, that website is rubbish. Reports my retina MacBook Pro as 1440x900. The web browser has no access to the hardware, most likely it tops out at 2560x1440 due to a software limitation.

But it's not only that, All my games report my screen res as the same as the website, 1440p. So its correct, Is there anything I can do?
