Graphics card coolers

Yeah I was thinking of creating a wanted thread to see whats about

Thats the point I want a new monitor asap thats at least 1440p and 120hz as I play a lot of FPS

Yeah, well then the 8gb model would be best. I'd say, get some headphones, play with it really loud for a few ,months, sell it and get the 390x or 980 Ti whatever is around :)

That makes sense then.

£70!? I picked my H55 up for £35! I'd sell it and get a non reference card for an extra £100. Mine is near enough silent, it only starts to become a little noisy after a couple of hours of gaming

I was going to get the H55 but was told the pipes were too short. You can pick them up refurbished for dirt cheap. Anyone able to measure the length and I can see if it would reach my rear fan?

I can measure them! I've got one haha.. Let me go check for you.

EDIT:

They are 300mm long. They reach from my gpu to my rear fan with no problems.

I cant decide what to do -

Wait for the 390X and put up with the noise of the 290X for a couple more months

Keep the 290X, swap out the cooler and get a new monitor

Sell the 290X and put £150 toward a 290X 8GB with a better cooler and get a new monitor a month or so later

I'm currently gaming at 1080P and really want a higher resolution but if I get a 390X first it will take me a fair bit longer to save and get a new monitor which means the 390X will be a bit wasted for a while, also I only paid £175 for my 290X so swapping the cooler out isnt that big a deal

What would you guys do?

I hear you.

Not having the cash to drop on a current gen GPU and a top spec monitor at the same time is slightly frustrating, you either end up with an overkill GPU, wasted at driving 1080p, or you end up with a monitor at a res you can't drive.
