Don't you know the 480 is going to at least match if not fly past the 1060 with driver optimisations? Give it 20 years and the 480 will be a real contender.

Only 20? The 480 will be able to last, and outperform, any future Titan GPU from now until the end of time (AMD just need to tweak the drivers slightly and increase the power limit by 5000%). Its ez.

Rx480 is slightly faster in this video in a server with players. Without players the gtx1060 is faster. Who wants to play in a server with no players though . There is not much in it either way. Any how it's only a beta so things could all change.

I mainly say I know it performs well as I got 80fps avg at ultra 1080p in real gameplay in full servers. None of these benchmarks replicate real-world performance in my experience. I have however watched recorded gameplay using a 480 and it is slightly worse.

The guy played with both cards on full servers. You can't replicate real gameplay any better than that. He did however do a controlled test with nobody on the server. His testing was pretty fair to me. My 290 was averaging around 80 at 1200p using dx12 ultra pre set. The 290 pcs+ will be somewhere around RX480. If you are averaging around 80 and so am I that says to me performance between the Rx480 and 1060 is very similar.

I get better performance in dx12 just like this guy. He was also averaging 77 in dx12 which again is very similar to what you are getting.

I doubt the op would be disappointed by either card in bf1. The game ran really well.
