To op, imo get a GTS , the saved money put towards a future upgrade.
The ultra is a total waste of money, as said above u can clock a normal gtx to perform at the same level as a ultra.

If you reread the OP's psot, he wants a card that will run that high res on that big screen not just now but in 6months, so since we cant be futureproof totally, I saud a GTX or Ultra and for a fact the Ultra will be playing games with better FPS than a GTX can in 6months, I even suggested he wait on refreshes.

Why cant you simply post your rec card and be done with it.

Least I did input and I did state a GTX in that input, not talk rubbish like you have, you did not even give a card model to him.

No current card is going to run games in 6 months at 1920x1200 with max details etc, hell you need two for today's games and even then that in some cases is not enough.
Hence I suggests a fast but good value card. ultra is a tiny bit faster but a huge premium over the gtx.

Why can't you simply post your rec and be done with it instead of attacking Leon?

Re-read my post, i did recommend something and I didn't talk rubbish so why don't you cut out the attacks and stop being a troll for once.

well thanks for the constructive posts and not thanks to the arguments-if ya wanna argue you two get your own thread tyvm.

think i may get a gtx then as its not really that much more than 640mb gts plus im going to be watercooling it so should allow for a decent overclock.
i read that the unltra was just a clocked up gtx so its easy to see than many others would see this too.

He started the crap, I posted 3 REC's so open your eyes.

I also stated who knows how many FPS these cards will get in 6months.

@ the OP, I was good enough to help you and I did not start a arguement as it would be hard to as I was 1st to post here, the fact about the Ultra you came back with is false and I have explained why.

This is last I will give info.

1) Buy a GTX now and it will play well now but who knows in 6months.

2) Buy a Ultra now and it will play better FPS for longer but who knows in 6months.

3) Buy a next gen card in later months and do without now (you said you cant wait).

4) Buy eVGa no matter what card so you can step up in 90days time if it struggles then.

Peace, Im out this thread.

Stock speeds for the GTX there, the SC Ultra is 'Superclocked'.
