Hey guys,
I have a 2900XT (512mb) running on a 19" monitor.
I'm getting a 24" monitor later this week and I was just wondering if the 2900XT is able to produce decent framerates at this resolution or should I fork out for either a GTX or the 1024mb version of the 2900XT?
Thanks :)

well size wont really have any effect on the graphics card, do you know what the native resolutions of the new monitor and your current one are? a 100" monitor with 800-600 resolution would put less strain on your graphics card than a 5" monitor with a 1600-1200 resolution ;)

Sorry if this comes across the wrong way but i would have thought people would have the brain to wait untill they actually get the monitor and see how the HD2900XT copes. If your happy with the performance no need to change the card if not go buy a 8800GTX or what ever. :)

What ever you do, dont go for the HD2900XT 1024mb version, its a totally gimmick, the difference between the 512 and 1024 is hardly anything. Its not the memory that holds the HD2900XT back its a load of other various things.
