Graphics card for old pc

I have the same Motherboard and CPU and got a GTX1660 Super a few years ago (to replace my old GTX670 and was really happy with the update. Can’t comment on case space though.

I have just found a GTX 1070 but it has an SC after it (EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Graphics Card 8GB DDR5) what does this mean and will it still fit in my Gigabyte Z77-D3H motherboard?
Is the build itself still the same as the normal one?

SC is just the GPU name and stands for Super-Clocked, basically the card comes with a slight factory overclock.

Any GPU will fit the PCIE slot on the motherboard, the main things you need to check for compatibility are the size of your case and whether your power supply has enough pcie power adaptors and watt rating.

not sure if you would be interesed. I am about to put up my rx 580 fro sale. which gets just a bit lower benchmarks as 1070 but would be cheaper ( im thinking £70 but not researched the prices yet) i was playing cod coldwar on it and it performed well ( upgraded for VR gaming)

looking on the popular auction site, 1070 seems to sell for 120 - 150 1070 ti 150 - 200 rx5700xt 175 ish (rx580 seems to be averaging around 90)

obviously depending on how much cash you have to spend, id say the rx5700 xt is the better buy of thos 3 - it benchmarks between 1080 and 1080 TI.. or of course the rx580 while you save more cash for a full upgrade :-)
