I am wanting to know what is the cheapest graphics I could get, that would allow a friend to play this game on reasonable settings.

Well there is only the creature editor demo out at the moment, that really doesnt show you anything of the world to test against. From what I've seen though it doesnt look that intensive, i doubt you would need top end cards thats for sure.

Maybe an 8800GT or Ati 4850 to be on the safe side ? would depend on his gaming resolution as well.
 
For spore I'd say an 8800 GS or 3850 would be fine, you'd probably get away with an 8600 GT or some such at lower resolutions.
 
thanks guys I think he may only have a AGP motherboard what would be the best bet for AGP again wanting to spend as little as possible.
