graphics card issue

hi everyone, been having problems with a new build for a while now,ive got the thing running with an old xt1800 but cant seem to get my new gtx 480 working and am fast wondering out of ideas, it was returned thinking something was up but has tested fine at overclockers and so sent back! both 6 pin and 6 + 2 pin are connected

any ideas!

Underpowered PSU perhaps? You haven't really given much to go on.

What are the rest of the system specs? What PSU model is it? Uninstalled the old GPU drivers? What problems are you having?

old drivers uninstalled but new card wouldnt work before old card even tried, problem is no display on screen at all

The PSU shouldn't be the problem then. Tried clearing the CMOS?
