graphics card issue

thought id post this in here as well seeing how my problems seems to be my graphics card -

Been having problems with a new build for a while now,ive got the thing running with an old xt1800 but cant seem to get my new gtx 480 working and am fast wondering out of ideas, it was returned thinking something was up but has tested fine at overclockers and so sent back! both 6 pin and 6 + 2 pin are connected

any ideas!

Can we have some info about what the issue is mate? , can you see the post screen?, can you hear windows boot with no display?, is it crashing / corruption on the display etc?

no post screen, cant see any screen at all! took it out and have tried system with an old xt1800 and no probs at all with display

Can you hear windows loading up with the speakers on? You know when windows boots up and you get that windows boot up sound, can you hear that with the speakers on obviously?

I'm asking this because it might not be your gfx card.
