Graphics Card need replacing already?

Just go to Add/Remove and click on the ATi Uninstaller as that will do the removal for you, (or if you go to just install the drivers, it may remove the previous set first beforehand i think), then when your machines restarted, cancel the Found New Hardware Wiz's (if any appear), and install your new set, but id try Aero off first before changing drivers, as thats a known cause on Vista. :)
 
i had same problem with 2 4870's, screen went black while playing but game was still running, sent first one back , ocuk replaced as faulty, but then the replacment started doing the same, so returned it for refund, both cards done the same in xp and vista
 
Update guys : I was just playing CS:S then, and normally i cant hear anything through my headset, but this time it was differant it sounded like CS:S had crashed, it went on and the screen was really bright, and my FPS was like 50, then 40, the 30, then 20 then bam it happened
 
No it wasnt, i dont have a phone line active at the moment it was a massive **** up, it gets activated on 8th January, it would have taken ages to download, but it sounds like its CS:S crashing. Its always when im vs bots and in offline
 
If the 8.10s still causes probs, I think you can class it as faulty and time to send it back. Theres 1 other thing you could try tho, and that is trying it in another computer?
 
Hmm, that wouldnt really be an option, ill try the 8.10s now, and if that doesnt work, looks like ill have to send it back. Do i get the same product back, or can i change it? Although i wouldnt really want to?
 
Been on today and yesterday doing a lot of testing, and its been fine.
I lanned with my dad and it didnt crash with the 8.10s but it did with the other driver, and its been fine, on CS:S and stuff
