All that is showing on my computer is the Intel HD graphics 4000. I've got a geforce 570 but that isn't showing up, and it is not detected when I try to install drivers. Anyone know why this could be happening?

It's got two six pin connections do both of those need to be connected?

It was a refurbished card so no cables came with it.

This is the connector I currently have coming from my power supply.

Short answer- yes. You need to plug BOTH the 6-pin PCI-E and the 8-pin (6+2pin) PCI-E into the GTX570 to propely power it.

Also, what PSU you got? (Brand? Model?) If it is a generic brand PSU it might not provide stable enough power for a system with a GTX570 (but since your PSU comes with 6-pin PCI-E and the 6+2-pin cable by default...that is at least a little more reassuring).

Like Marine asks, what PSU do you have? Also when you click start - right click my computer - click properties - click device manager - click display adapters - do you see it there?

I see both my HD graphics family and my 680
