just bought a new acer tower and it is unable to acomodate my graphics card (8800GT) due to to length of it :S the slots for my hard drive and DVD rom drive get in the way, so im looking for a graphics card thats a good one that is quite short in length lol. the 8800GT is 2300mm long (23CM) which is too long, ive seen the XFX 9400 which looks ok and is only 1700mm (17CM) is this a good card? if not any recomendations would be much apreciated. Sorry for going on Smile

I think the radeon 4850/4830 is a little shorter than the 8800gt and is also a good bit faster in the case of the 4850. I don't think anything else on the market is shorter and as fast as the 8800gt. The saphire version of the 4850 i seen is definately shorter than the gt.

tbh id look into cutting a small gap in your case for the card to fit in. is it worth downgrading ** graphics card over a small piece of metal?

it wont look so bad if you take your time, plan and do a good job of it.

Get your Dermmel out! I stupidly bought my GX2 without measuring my case, luckily there was enough room to drill the rivets out of the HD caddy, move it forward half an inch and re fix it! If its an alu case then thats even better as its soft metal and easy to cut.
