Every time i start up my computer the boot screen shows and then when the windows welcome screen loads everything goes black. I'm not sure if this is my graphics card or monitor. But if i unplug the monitor cable in the back of the graphics card then plug it in again averything works.

I could really use some help as this is really buggin me Cheers :)

Umm, sounds dodgy. Make sure the screws on the cable are done up, and try a replacement cable to the monitor, may be a bad connection or poor earth connection. Are you on full tree - pin earth mains leads on the PC and monitor? if not make sure you are.
What Power supply do you have in the PC? is it a cheap one? if so get a good one, and good power rating.

What is the graphics card you have?

Make sure the card is seated well and screwed home, with power cable in if required....
