This is a problem i posted a few weeks ago but didnt have any screenshot to really show how it was playing up.

Specs:
E6850 @ 3.6ghz
Abit Ab9 pro
4gb ddr2
ATI HD5670

Ive reinstalled drivers, formatted and reinstalled windows 7 since and still the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

strange, the 2d is fine, the 3d is nackered, is it every 3d game?

was going to suggest memory on the graphics card is dying, but you would see sparklys all over the screen.

can you download Furmark and use it to stress your card?

a long shot i know, but a friend had a problem that looked similar to that some time ago. can't remember exact details, but i'm nearly sure that it had got a knock in transit and had come loose. worked fine when he reseated it. might be worth a try if you've recently shifted your pc about

The graphics card is less then a few months old from OcUK, ill inspect the card tommorow and see if anything like that is there.

It only seems to happen when my pc has been on for a while. Its fine for the first 5-6 hrs but then after that it messes up. No matter if its on games or not.

heat related then, while running furmark, can you also have running GPU-Z and select the "sensors" tab, this will show realtime temps while furmark is running.

just run furmark in a window, doesn't need to be full screen otherwise you wont see the temps.

so it looks like this

Then can you do the same test but for the cpu, so you would also need something like CPUID hardware monitor to display the cpu core temps.

But leave it running for a good amount of time.
