Im looking at upgrading my Nvidia 9800GX2 to support newer games

The games ive been looking at are Deus Ex Human Revoloution and BF3 amoungst others.

I did ask in a differrent thread which would be a good upgrade around the £100.
and was advised either the AMD ATi 5870 or at a push an Nvidia GTX 460

I will be using the card in a Windows 7 system with an AMD Phenom II x4 940 which will be upgraded to a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T when i get round to it.
It's the thought of having to strip down and drain my Watercooling system that has put me off at the moment.

However looking at the prices of new cards ive noticed that the AMD ATI 6770 is at a reasonable price, and i remmeber the raving reviews of the 5770 in crossfire when they first came out.

So im wondering if a pair of 6770's will fit the bill as i could purchase one now and in 4 weeks or so purchase a second one giving me what should be a decent crossfire system.

Or should i hold off and save a little more and splurge out on a 6870.

Or wait for another ~4 weeks for the new midrange 7 series.

Even if you can't/don't want to stretch your budget for one of those, all the current cards should get a nice price cut.

Yeah, I'd hang on even if just for the price cuts. If you don't want to wait then I'd look at nothing lower than a 6850 / 460. If you can source a cheap 1gb 560ti then go for that, a great high end performer for around as little as £150 or so, and is worth the extra cash imo.
