Hello guys,

Having seen this new deal hit OCUK i was wondering what the best option is for my £200 budget ? I've looked everywhere and was about to purchase the Asus 1GB GeForce GTX 560TI DirectCUII for £167. Then this cropped up on OCUK just now:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-267-AS.

I'm running at 1680x1050

Setup:
AMD Phenom x4 965 Black Edition @3.90Ghz
Corsair 1666Mhz x4
1TB Seagate Barracuda @7200RPM
ATI Radeon 5750
OCZ Slipstream 650W

As you can see my GFX card is severly letting me down so i wondered if you were in my shoes what would you go for with £200?

Cheers guys.

I've been on nvidia since 2007 so can't offer any advice about ATI cards, but the 560ti would be great, particularly at the resolution you're running. However there is an updated version of the 560ti coming out at the end of the month so I'd wait for more info about that.

Personally I've been thinking of changing from my GTX460 but I'm waiting at least to see what the new 560 will be like, although more likely I'll wait for the new cards next year.

For £200 I'd go for a 6950 2gb, a bit faster than a 560Ti and a killer card that should handle even BF3 on ultra at your res.

+1 for 6950 2GB, though the 560Ti is also a good buy.

I own 2 6950s in one rig (unlocked and overclocked) and a GTX560Ti in my second rig.
Both play BF3 very well, the 560Ti (1GB) at 1920x1080 giving me around 40-45 FPS at high settings. The 2 6950s giving me between 70-100 FPS at 2560x1600 (mostly ultra).

If you can't wait till the new line of cards then the 560ti would be a damn fine card at your resolution. You could find that card will be £50 cheaper in January but thats how it is with Pc's.

What are the differences between the TOP then ? i'm not even sure what that means. At £167 i could get the non TOP version but for £193 i could get the TOP with BF3 and Batman Arkham City to sell.

I can't spot any 2gb 6950's under £200 btw.

The TOP version is factory overclocked. Not by a large amount so don't let that influence your decision. the games that come with it would probably be redeemable vouchers rather than hard copies.

Still have re-sale value but a lot of ppl still like hard copies. if you can get at least £20 back for your games though then thats a result.

Have you already got the batman game? Supposed to be excellent. I'd imagine you would probably get close to £20 for bf3 alone.

I haven't no and i have heard that it is immense but I've got so many games on the go right now i'm alright in that department. I'm sure i could get £20 for BF3 too not sure on Batman, possibly £20 aswell ? It's just extra effort really.

I'm trying to see what my best option is with £200 as a maximum budget
