graphics card temps

Nvidia Compatibility: 9800GT, 9800GTX, GTS250, GTX260, GTX275, GTX280, GTX285, GTX465, GTX470 and GTX480

Doesn't have 560ti on that list, so I doubt it will fit.

Easier/cheaper to improve your case cooling, add a front intake fan if you don't have one and a back exhaust. Tidy up the cables inside too and create a custom fan profile so the fan spins faster.

if u look here it says it is supported, looks like overclockers havent updated it yet

i also have 1 intake at front and 2 exhaust at rear

Ahh, well I guess you could go for it!

What are your temps when gaming? I personally don't like stress test programs like Furmark and the like, as they push the card so much more than what a game every could.

I don't think the problem with high temp is to do with the cooler for the GTX560Ti AMP (the cooler is not bad at all), but more to do with the poor airflow of your SilverStone SST-LC17B case.

The case doesn't have intake for delivering cool air to the card, and no exhaust on the graphic card side for exhaust the heat which the graphic card cooler dump into the case, so the heat get recycled back to the graphic card cooler. Changing the graphic card cooler to Gelid Icy Vision won't help with the situation, as it also dump the heat inside the case which the heat will also get recycled.

The most appropriate option for dealing with the graphic card temp problem would be to change to a case with better airflow, however if you insist on using the SilverStone SST-LC17B, you should add two 92mm fan as intake for draw cool air into the case:

...and then get one of two of these Akasa System Exhaust Blower:

...or the akasa super cyclone, which will exhaust the heat that the amp cooler dump into the case to outside of the case.

if you were wondering how these blower exhaust fans work, have a look at the following topic:

i already have 1 80mm fan at the front and i will put another 80 at the front as well, also gonna order a smaller 80 for the side so hopefully that will do the trick

well i installed another front fan today and left the lid off so no hot air can stay trapped in case and the card still hit 98c playing bf2 so im just wondering if the antec super cyclone will actually make any difference

hm...if you are getting 98c even with the case opened, then it might actually be the case of issue with the graphic card cooler itself. From the look of the AMP cooler design, it really shouldn't have such a high temp issue...so may be can you check if the cooler is properly seated, or if the fan of the cooler is working properly?

Keep the case lid on. You shouldn't have it open as it disrupts the airflow.

As above, it sounds like a dodgy card giving too high temps.

ok just underclocked it from this
memory 4400
shader 1900
core 950

to this
memory 4000
shader 1645
core 822

and it still hit 100c

my motherboard (P8P67 Evo) has a second pci express slot, if i stick my card in that to try it will it still run at x16

Yea it should run at x16, but I don't think it will make a difference to the temps.

Sounds like a dodgy card if you underclocked it and it hits 100c

ive messaged zotac about the temps so hopefully they will reply with somat

also bought the card off a m8 for £100 and he only had it 2 weeks from new before he sold me it so its only about 1-2 months old, but he said if i want he will rma it for me

just waiting to see what zotac have to say, thats if they reply

only other option i can see is to go with the aftermarket cooler i mentioned in first post

my m8 also said i can take the card round his and try it as he has a better case but even then he said it hit 94c in his case and when checking google would seem about right for the card
