Hello again guys. I currently run a nVidia GeFore FX5500 128 AGPx8 Card. It's good with COD2 but I find that my performanc eon the game is limited. SO I have got £150 to spend on a AGPx8 Card. Please could you suggest some good cards.

TIA

BFG GeForce 6800 GS OC 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-013-BG)
Price: £119.95 (£140.94 Including VAT at 17.5%)

A fantastic upgrade from a GeforceFX 5200, that's for sure, and £10 below your budget to boot.

It'll play Call Of Duty 2 (and a lot of other games) rather well even in DirectX 9 mode, it supports Shader Model 3.0, it comes pre-overclocked with no effect on its warranty, it has a lifetime warranty, and it is cheaper than every other AGP 6800GS from what I can see, which is good as I consider BFG the best Nvidia supplier. :)

You won't get better bang for your buck than this at all.

to be honest mate, the GeForce 6800 GS is the only way to go, there isn't another model in your price range...however if i were you i'd go for this version Gainward 6800GS Bliss 512mb DDR3 TV DVI AGP you can get it for £149.95 inc VAT might be a extra pound of two for delivery but you do get the 512MB model.

Aye that's a good choice too, but you should take that link away before you get hell rained down upon you by the mods. Linking to competitors is not allowed.

sorry all, the offending link has been deleted...that said though Overclockers should think about matching the price on that one maybe

You should write a ticket on the main site and let them know, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to oblige if they can. :)

OcUK is a great site and has some of the best hardware selections, however it's prices are some times a little on the steep side, not to meantion they stopped using amtrak and moved onto the spawn of satan... City Link...but that's another story
