Graphics Card Upgrade

Hi there, I'm looking for some advice on upgrading to a better graphics card (currently using a Radeon HD 5770) for around the £150 mark. I'll be getting a 24" monitor at some point so I'd like something a bit beefier to handle gaming at a higher resolution and generally get better overall performance.

My specs are: MSI P67A-C45 board, OCZ ZS series 600w PSU, Intel Core i5-2500k 3.30GHz and 4gb ram. I'm not sure if you will need any more information on the spec.

Any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance.

I take it there's not much in it between those cards you linked?

The 60gb SSD is swaying me towards the XFX which shows how much I know :D

Thanks for the help.

No, not much. I've linked them in order of personal preference. :)

I've had the same cooler (re : second link) on my previous two graphics cards, and they were excellent for cool and quiet operation.

Or, alternatively, you might try to get your luck in the "clearance lines" section, I've seen GTX 770 for 169 few days ago.

I think a 280 would be a nice upgrade and as you have spotted a free SSD to use for your OS will also speed up you system load times nicely :)

So I got the XFX and things have been going fairly smooth but one problem I'm having is, bizzarely, playing a Youtube video causes a grey screen with black horizontal lines. There is sound and the computer is still functioning but the grey screen won't go away unless I force restart.

Games have been running fine(albeit not for a prolonged period yet) and videos playing through VLC and Media Player work fine.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
