Graphics cards that made you go "WOW!"

I think it was a geforce2 mx400 card, anyway the game was Quake2 & for the first time I saw the green bfg ball shine on the wall. It looked great.

Got a pair of titan blacks and I couldn't believe I can play crisis 3 an max settings and no slowdown:D
Average game mind, but its very nice looking.

Only my orchid 3dfx. That was a proper wow and I hope my next card (last proper card was an x800xl and currently gaming on 360) is a wow when I do my next build in a couple of months.

Doubt it though as I've spent a lot of times on my dad's 470.

TNT2 Ultra - HL is playable!
Geforce 2 GTS/Ultra - ATI who?
Geforce 3 Ultra - Hello Unreal 2... you look good!
9800XT - Made Nvidias 5800 Ultra look like a joke
6800GT/Ultra - Finally Nvidia are back in the game with a wallop
8800GTX - Unified shaders FTW
HD5870 - First card to offer "easy" triple screen gaming (my first taste as well)
HD7970 - Eyefinity is actually playable now...
R9 290X - Eyefinity without DP tearing.... YAY!

Lots of other cards in between, but these are what I remember fondly.

Only 2 cards really stand out for me.
First the 3DFX Voodoo.
Made games on the PC look like the arcades.
Before the 3dfx card games on the PC looked awful. basic ega/vga 2d graphics.

Second the 8800GTX
What a game changer that card was.

I went from an 8400GS tons 9600GSO, it allowed me to play gears of war at max DX9 settings at 1680x1050. Made my year :)
