I was debating whether to put this in Windows/Software or here, but I decided here due to graphics.
Anyhow, the problem I have is most annoying as I cannot see a fix for it.
Randomly during games (any game) DX10 or 9, or even 8, the display drivers will crash and stop working, sometimes windows will recover, or i'll need to hard reboot. The problem is not able to be reproduced in a given scenario, it is entirely random.
Now, I've tried having everything at stock speeds, no joy.
Tried every single Vista 32bit driver, no joy.
Tried driver cleaner etc for graphics and nForce, then reinstalled fresh, no joy.
I dont have another graphics card to test to see if its any other part of my system.
I'll also randomly get a BSOD from the driver failure, though not every time.
My system spec's are:
E6600 @ 3.0ghz
4GB Corsair Dominator something or other.(yeah i know i should have got 64-bit vista)
BFG 680i SLI mobo,
BFG 8800 GTX OC2.
Cant think what else could be important.
