Ive installed my HD 4870 X2 card and the latest drivers but when going to dxdiag it isnt showing that its the latest driver installed??

ATI driver is 10.12 but dxdiag shows 10.59??

Also when testing my card im getting very low FPS and benchmarking is all poor, tried 3dmark, FurMark and videocard stability test.

I ran GPU-Z and looked at the sensors for both GPUs and one is working but the other isnt, see pics.

Is this normal or is there def a fault? Ive posted previously regarding my GPU issues, Sent the card back to the supplier and the say its fine? But its obviously not?

Ive just read that if 'AI' is turned off then the second gpu will be disabled.

A 4870x2 is technically already in "crossfire". Therefore you will not get a "crossfirex tab" appearing in CCC.

If you disabled AI in CCC, this will effectively disable one GPU (although two GPUs will still show in CCC.

In CCC>graphics>information center>graphics hardware, you should have "primary adapter" and "linked adapter".

In CCC>ATI Overdrive>select GPU to configure, it should show 2 GPUz

If you want to compare a benchmark run of some kind later then I don't mind. Otherwise, I'm really sorry, I don't know what else to suggest.

i recently got myself a hd 4870x2 as well.

Like Orcvader says, xfire is enabled only when gaming full screen!

Was doing some tests with Crysis warhead in a window while trying to keep an eye on temps and cpu usage.. once i went full screen, i basically got double fps.

Prior to this, i was testing DA:A and again i thought i got a duff card but i'm pretty sure that this is a game that doesn't support xFire.

Anyway, not sure if enabling overdrive makes any difference?

Much like yours, my second gpu shows as 'disabled' as well. I think this is normal as it's automatically disabled when in 2D mode... though i could be wrong.

EDIT: If you've googled as much as i have on this, apparently there are some catalyst versions which are 'buggy' in that it will disable the second gpu! So be careful.
