I managed to get hold of the August 2006 Redist. of DirectX 9.0C last night and updated my DX install.
As well as dropping off ALL my settings in FEAR, its helped with a lot of the choppiness I've had.

I cant see the video posted, So cant see the stuttering unfortunately.
Another thing, Do you run the game as soon as your PC is turned on? Restarted, As i know NOD does an initial scan of your startup files as soon as it loads which I know takes a good couple of minutes, Could be causing your stuttering. Unless of course during the reinstall you didnt put NOD back on.

Apparently theres a problem with an XP setting that can cause problems at higher resolutions within Oblivion, I guess it could cause trouble in other games too. hopefully this will help you![]()
