Graphics Performance less than expected. Help would be appreciated :-)

The 6300 has a base clock of 3.5GHz, but it'll boost when necessary to 4.1GHz. I've never heard of a 6300 not being able to reach 4.3GHz even on the cheaper boards. There shouldn't be any temp problems at the stock clocks.

Last time I used a stock cooler on AMD the temperatures didn't give any real headroom.
Plus ambient will be hot, he could be on a stock cooler, if he's reaching 63c at 3.7GHZ he could easily be over heating.

Sounds like potental CPU throttling too. That ceertainly won't help his framerate issue. :D

It'd be best to keep it at stock on the stock cooler IMO.

Its not a stock cooler, its quite a good one [Prolimatech Blue Megahalems CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1150 /1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011)] I am not gettin 63 at 3.7C Im getting 63-64.5 at 4.1.

I was under the impression that 63 degrees is a perfectly safe temp for the 6300. I used to have one myself that ran quite happily at 4.5GHz, although I'll be honest and say that I get far better performance overall on my current i5 3570k. The 6300 is a good bang-for-buck chip though. Have you tried using a good overclocking guide? Achieving a good overclock is a slow and time-consuming business but worth it if you want the best possible results.

I have looked into it and have learned the basics. I managed to achieve an OC of 4.1 at 20.5x200 with 1.335V at 63-65C. There was no errors returned from Prime95. Ill know better when I get my next PC to get an Intel :-)
