Hi guys, just a quick question, I don't know a whole lot about power supplies, and I've been trying to read about them and their anatomy but not getting very far. Basically I have two XFX gtx275 (xxx core editions) in SLI, and they are giving me some problems. My power supply is a corsair hx750 modular one, and I wondered if that could possibly be the problem? I'm reading that a single card needs 40 amps on the rail, and my supply says that it does up to 62, but it also says its single rail, and when I tried to look this up I got too bogged down. Thanks in advance!

If you read the reviews on the psu product page there's a guy who has one of these with 2 gtx280's. So, I can't see that being the problem mate.

40 amps at 12V is 480W. Your gtx275 does not draw 480W. For one thing the atx spec says each 12V rail should be limited to 20 amps, and for another the 8 pin cable running to your card is rated for at most 150W, and the 6 pin for 75W.

Single rail is a good thing. Your psu is ideal for the task. I don't know where you got 40A per card from, but it's not true.
