Hello All,

My son is after a graphics tablet to tinker with animation on his PC.

I've never looked at these so was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a first time graphics tablet and what would be classed as a good price for a beginner.

Any suggestions\tips etc would be handy.

Thanks a lot

I'm no expert as they're not something I use but come across them now and then via work or my 3D hobby. The benchmark devices are your Wacom Cintiq displays or an iPad Pro with the pen which are a serious investment.

That said, their popularity has spawned a lot of lesser brand alternatives at much fairer prices so you could find a bargain on the used market plus still get a device with a screen which will be much more intuitive than the traditional "touchpad" + stylus type. There's plenty of top 10 type lists of the usual suspects online (Cheap graphics tablets with display), worth checking out what specs and size would suit and see what's available.

Wacom are great.

The small "One by Wacom" can be had for £30 on Amazon at the moment or a small Intuos for under £60 if you want more features.
