Anyone know anything about graphics tablets?

Looking at getting one for the Mrs' but i'm not all that clued up.

I understand DPI is better and obviously more size.

Anyone got any recommendations or could fill me in about them more.

Cheers

I have always used Wacom's tablets, they are a good brand. Pricey though, but worth it. The pad area is A4 sized, perfect for pretty much everything. Intuos I think mine is called. Recommended.

wacom are the industry standard (their technology is used in the tablet pc's too)
Although the above states a4, they come in a range of sizes from a6-a3 with intuos a6 and a5 also haveing widescreen versions for widescreen computers.

Look into the graphire range if youre not intending to use them on a regular basis, tablets are an aquired taste, as this is a cheaper version just laking in some of the extra tablet features while maintaining the same sensitivity etc usually.
