Looking to upgrade my graphics card but unsure which route to take. Nvidia is preferred!

Current specs are;
Venice 3500+
PSU is a Levicom 450/500w I think!
1Gb Geil 3200 value Dual Channel(Needs another Gb)
DFI Lan Party NF4 UT Ultra-D
Leadtex WinFast PCX6600GT Extreme Edition 128Mb
Viewsonic VX715 1280x1024 Res

Recently played BF2, FEAR Extraction Point, Oblivion and waiting for ETQW and Crysis next. The 8800 is out of the question at the moment so, advice on an alternative is required.

It depends on your budget what card you get but as bringerofdecay has pointed your cpu may be in need of an upgrade aswell as your graphics card. I can recomend my graphics card MSI 7900GTO at about £150.

It doesn't matter if the graphics card is slightly bottlenecked by the CPU.
It will still perform massively better than your current card. When you next upgrade your CPU and/ or Mobo, we will probably still be on PCI-E, so then you will get to enjoy that little extra power.
And of course it varies from game to game.
I recon this one :

offers the best value for money, I definately don't think it's worth paying £50 extra for the 512 mb memory version.
This one, as kingy666 says, is also very good & better than a 1950GT for less money :

buying the 512 is a little bit of a waste (yes i know i did spec it) unless he plans on using very high reses, my 256mb is running a 20" widescreen TFT fine @ 1680x1050

Sorry, i said the MSI 7900GTO was about £150 as its price has gone back up to £200 INC. VAT. I think i got a bargain

You have a DFI motherboard, overclock the CPU and get an x1950pro - use the money saved from an x1900xt etc. to try and upgrade to 2GB ram.
