Depends on how big of a gamer you are, your budget and what resolution you game at. Your other specs will have an impact too.

q6600 @ 3.3ghz
4GB PC2-6400C5 800MHz
Asus P5K-E

any populare fps games like Cs:source, cod4, crysis, BF2142, ut3, age of conan... few others

Get a 4870 or even a 4850 for that res.

For that res, seems an odd res mind you, a 4870/x2 will be major overkill! An 8800gt will be more than adequate, dirt cheap now, especially 2nd hand.

i have a 8800 gts 320 atm

and i have a 19" monitor and i ment 1280x1024 sorry

i just want somthing with that bit more than my 8800

Who plays crysis anymore?
If you want a 4870 then go for it, however at your res i would rather have the 4850 and pocket the rest of the money.

Yeah, 4850 is the way to go, although 4870 would last a bit longer, but both will destroy at that res

A 4870x2 is a massive overkill at your res.
Unless you are thinking of getting a 24"+ monitor anytime soon there is no need for anything better than a 4850.

Get a 4870 for the 24". The 4870x2 would be an overkill. You dont seem to be listening to anyone so i dont know why i am bothering to repeat myself again.

nothing does 'well' with crysis

8800gt is what i have on that size screen, everything plays perfectly in xp64 (8800gt is better than 8800gts 320 by the way)

i'd either stick with what you have, or get a 4850
