Hi All

Just a bit of advice needed, i am looking to upgrade my son's pc graphics card, the system is 2 years old, he currently has an XFX R7950 3GB DD card, would it be worth upgrading to a newer card? Budget would only be around £200.

He games everyday, i was thinking of adding another R7950 (Crossfire). Rest of the spec of his pc is:

Asus Sabertooth Motherboard
AMD FX-6 6350 CPU
8GB Corsair Ram
256GB SSD
750 Watt Corsair PSU
3 x 21" screens

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would have thought that adding another 7950 would be restricted by his CPU, though that said, I see he has three screens, which I'm assuming he games on. As I understand it, a higher resolution helps to reduce a CPU bottleneck. If it does turn out to be a worthwhile option, then a second 7950 is certainly incredible bang for buck.

See what others have to say on the matter. :)

I'd say you are much better off selling the current 7950, and buying a 390 or 970 with the cash from that +£200.
