spec a card with a monitor 19'' max res is 1440 by 900. don't want to spend the **** out of me

You have 3 threads on this first page already why not just use one of them? The above suggestions are great, pick the best one of the three which is in you budget and you will play games silkily smooth on that monitor.

Hey guys if I want to go down the nvidia route which gfx card you suggest me. I currently have an 8600Gt and I play all my favourite games on res 1440 by 900 (19''). So if I buy a gfx card with nvidia physx can Iuse my 8600Gt as a physx processor?

GTX250 is pretty much the nvidia equivalent of the 4850 (You can probably find a 9800GTX for less though, same card). The original 260 can be had for not too much more now, however, which is a nice little upgrade. And yes, you should be able to use your 8600 for physx.
