From what I've read it's nothing like Homeworld. In this you just put together your fleet and then watch the battle, don't think you have any control at all?

Sounds a bit lacking.

Aye, seems to make more sense as a game with the 2D layout screen, shaping your fleet, not the fancy 3D graphics. :confused:

Perhaps it might be worth someone who knows about the game making another thread... rather than using the screwed up OP. Or someone write info about it and ask a mod to edit it in to the OP.

The 'game' is all about putting together your ships and fleet before the battle. The actual battle is just something you watch. At least from what I've read about it.

This is exactly it. The battle you play no part in.

I got it and wish I didn't waste the money. There is basically 3 ship types. small fighters, medium frigates and large cruisers. There are very few upgrades and many of them are pretty pointless.

You get so much money and pilots. Depending on the opposing force, sometimes it's better to have loads of small ships, other few huge heavily armoured ships and in other battles a good mix.

fundamentally nothing wrong with the game, but ships and components are far to limited the catalogue should be like 10 times bigger.

All in all rather boring due to the limited options.
Even the strategy is rather limited.
