Great British Menu

Pudding rounds usually suck, I hate these ponce dab here dab there, throw a few tiny cubes of random jelly.

Last years winners looked great and I must do it, as well as the treacle tart winner the other year. But puddings is certainly the course has by far the fewest dishes I want to make at home.
Well I've got to say that both of this weeks desserts looked and sounded stunning.

I won't spoil it, but I think the right chef went through today :).

I agree, Bryne looked gutted though and was welling up, not surprised since 3 in the judges and 3 knock outs. Simon deserved to win though, and also his menu for GBM is going to be available at Roganic soon.

Not really been impressed with any of the dishes this week, really. Kinda disappointed with them all.
Yeah, I agree. The mains were a real let down. The lamb bacon was the best of the bunch, but was crying out for some carrots, peas and potatoes :)

I know Phil got top marks from Jason, but I can see all his dishes being absolutely slated by the judges for not being anywhere near adventurous enough - especially his rhubarb souffle.

Loved the look and sound of the lobster, pressed tomatoe and aubergine caviar.

I've never liked her though and she isn't warming to me either. Is she a Ramsay apprentice?

yeah, she's a Ramsay Apprentice, i used to quite like her but she seems a bit full of her own self importance now.

Quicklink, its the Wales regional this week.

I'm loving the start of this week. I think the south west is going to be a stormer.

Shame big Tom isn't competing this year mind! Suppose you have to give someone else a chance :P
