Great little online MPG calculator

nice find.

(MPG 25.46) (9.01 Km per litre)(11.0987 litre per 100Km)
Averaging 20.54 pence per mile

Subaru Impreza UK Turbo MY98

Why would you need that?
Surely you can do rough MPG calculations in your head. It's not hard.

Nothing I can't do with a boggo calculator, here is the run down to Portsmouth.

Your fuel consumption
(42.7 MPG) (15.1 Km per litre)(6.60 litre per 100Km)
Averaging 12.6 pence per mile
(40+ mpg for petrol is good under 23 is bad)
So 640 miles would cost £80.64

And IBM are giving me 20p a mile, £47.36 up. :D

21000miles (The mileage i done in the last two years)
20mpg (in winter months this drops to between 17 to 18mpg)
98p Litre (guernsey fuel price)
This journey would cost you £4677.93

At 1.18p Litre
This journey would cost you £5632.61 :eek:

Last nights trip works out @ 6.51 MPG, not bad considering I was running at near maximum weight and not on motorways.

(Stoke - Hereford - Coleford - Stoke - Middlewich - Stoke. - 315 miles 220 litres of fuel)

Hardly because you've still got to maintain the car!

Precisely, what does this do that i cant do with run>calc or in my head?

I find this one much better. More options.

You can tell it how many miles you are going to do, at what mpg, and at what fuel cost and it will tell you how much it would cost for the journey. I often use it to decide whether to get the train or to drive.

Quite like that :) - Tells me my old car would cost £32 quid to get to Tom's house in Manchester which is pretty much bang on!

For some people like myself that can't work out the figures in my head in about 10 seconds....It faster and easyer to type a few numbers into an online calculator and press return...

That first calculator is so basic though that even if you have the maths ability of a chimp, windows calc is pretty much the same!
