Great mates....heh

Transporter 2... truly crap film, but with one good quote:

"respect a man's car, the man respects you"

:D

I find the ones who slam the door the most are the ones that shut it with the top corner. I actually find it hard to understand how a person can't work out that if you push the door at the point where the latch is, it will latch easily whereas if you close it using a point that is about 2 feet above the latch and slightly flexible it probably won't

It drives me nuts when mates/gf slam the car door. First time I'll say something like "thanks for that, I'll just pick the other one up off the floor now". Next time they do it the response will be more like "Its not A ******* FIESTA!". My girlfriend litterally dropped the boot lid a few months ago. I had to bite my lip to stop screaming at her. Her response was, "I didn't know it wasn't damped". aarrgghhh, you just opened it 20 seconds ago and used the prop to keep it up, how could you not know!???!! Had it not been the gf, i'd probably have drop kicked her in the head :D

My misses slammed my m3 boot which is really heavy with the spoiler on it, so hard that itcaused a fault in my brake light circuit which flashes up all the time on my OBC :(

I almost cried it slammed so hard.

Still it will be coming off her credit card when I put it into the shop to get it fixed as I have replaced bulbs etc to check it wasn't that.

I did point out that if I slammed her new mini door that hard and shaterred her window I would be paying for it ;)

She did offer before I mentioned about it though to be fair on her

when i first started driving a couple of my mates slammed the doors once or twice and i thought "na they'll learn...." how wrong was I. my mates gf was the worst. getting in was fine, but when she was shutting it from the outside. god almighty the world shifted when she slammed it once. she put both hands on it pulled it further back (so the door was as far open as possible) and pulled on it with all her might and the cars suspension actually shook when it hit. and it was then i snapped. i said to her once before about slamming it, and she stopped it for awhile but what made her do what she did i don't no. Now when she gets in the car for complete fear of me going nuts again she won't open or close the door :D and has to get someone else to do it. Now when i snapped i really did, even my mate (her bf) was like wtf are you doing?

another one of my mates did it once or twice and i said to him politely "don't be so harsh on the doors" and hes been a lot better since, once he asked me to show him, because he has respect for things and wanted to make sure he didnt do it again.

When i get the new car (probably tomorrow) i don't care of the situation i am opening and closing every single door for everyone that gets in lol

I really don't know how people can be so stupid. Pulling a door back to slam it shut... I'm not suprised you lost it!

On the way to a funeral once with some friends, they started to skin up (yes, making a joint) in the car. I totally flipped. Pulled over and said WTF are you doing? The nerve of some people!

When I was going out with my ex (gf at the time), I let her smoke in the car as long as she blew it out the window. One day, I drove home after dropping her off and found ash all down the side of my nice clean car... and that was the day I banned even her from smoking in my car

My little sister goes horse riding. I take her to my dads every weekend and OMFG! It really winds me up to have to put her smelly wellies in my car! ARGHHHHHHH! I cleaned my car on Saturday, and then on Sunday it had dirty muddy wellies on the carpet.

Haha!!! You love her really!!:p

I hate people smoking in my car, only let one guy do it and i still hate it! The window has to be down and him blowing outside, lol!!:p

Even though i know the previous owner smoked as it had some papers to make cigerettes in it when i got the car, lol

Ah now see this is where i can help my good fellow, as my older sister did and still does horse riding for many years, and me and my mum have given her many a lift. Ok this is what you do.

go down to JJB's or something and get a large pull string bag so when she takes her smelly wellies off put them inside the bag and then slung the bag in the boot (take a spare pair of trainers for her ifneedbe) and that will fight the smell and greatly reduce the horse crap going over your car. ok next thing to do is take out the headrest from your passenger seat lay an old towel you got at home (tea towel or sumit) over where the holes are and then jam the headrest back in so it stays there, so when all the crap comes outta her hair it doesnt go everywhere, and the tea towel will catch it, same goes for your footwell when you put an old towel in make sure its tucked into the noock and crannys and it should reduce it a lot. if your that paranoid chuck a towel over the seat she sits in aswell, but the pull string bag and towel under the headrest were i found worked the best :) reduced the after smell loads and seriously reduced the amount of nastyness inside the car (as most of it is on the boots anyway)

right...back to the thread in hand ;)

haha... thats why my sis sold the boxster and got a shogun. like a typical woman she didnt give a **** about her porsche and ued to use it was a mobile tack shop, saddles, feed, rubbish everywhere (in a boxster) lol

now she has a shogun to destroy.

how about... you go to unlock the car but the passenger already has hold of the handle and trying to get in. This ends up blocking the central locking mechanism from actually opening the door then there stood there trying to opening it multiple times, wrenching at the handle as though its going to magically work. the only way to rectify it is to tell them to stop and step away while i then lock then unlock all the doors again... grr.... i mean, wait till i unlock the car before you try and get in!!1

Yeah, why do woman “SLAM” the door so hard the glass nearly shatters…? My gf really annoys me with it. She can’t drive, so I end up ferrying her all over most of the time, and she gets in, slams the door and when you say anything they just say “I didn’t”. They then rummages around in their bag, blocking the gear stick and making it hard to change gear..

And they always twist your seatbelts. Just how the hell they do this so consistently it actually beggars belief, it really does.

Mates can be just as arrogant in regards to treating your motor kindly. Family as well. My Brother once smashed my door against a post once, took a chunk out of the paint, didn’t seem to care…
