Thats how I did the full build last time in 2009.
She was away over easter while I worked.
Sneaking the tower case out the house this time would be harder to hide.

But the plan is coming together perfectly, just need patience and no issues.

Ah, thread makes me smile, but this shouldnt be out in public. If my missus realised we do this kinda stuff i'd only ever be able to upgrade on christmas or birthday.

Awesome thread, I have had to sneak in loads of upgrades over the years. Just becomes hard with monitors, keyboards, etc. I always use the "It was on offer, and when I sell my old one it would have hardly cost anything to upgrade".

LOL, used to have a landlord as a student. He used to buy all his camera equipment for his Nikon secretly as he never gave a penny to his wife. She had to feed the family from the rental...lol poor dear never ever bought anything.

Ordered a X79 bundle 5pm Friday night (1st March). Figured I'd go with the 5-7 day option and have it delivered to work so the wife doesn't find out.
This way I could install it while she's at work next week, as she is at home all this week.

It was delivered to work at lunchtime today, which means I can risk bringing it home and chancing an install or leave it at work for the week and installing next week. It will be safe enough so no worries there.

I've used that at least 4-5 times this month, works a charm.

Well it's in and running, no issues at all. WOW what an improvement. :eek:

Was lazy and just swapped the boards, no new win 7 install. Just update a few drivers here and there.
For the record, came with the K2 Mount Doom instead of the Prolimatech.

Now about this big pile of various boxes under the desk. Used as camoflague...... Up into the loft with them before she comes home.
Next up.... new case. May have to declare that .
Need to change me sig at some time too.
