Green led no display coming with new system :(

I tried cmos reset. taking out battery, then take out power cable of cpu 4 pin. Than waiting 15 mian and pushing power button.
To reset CMOS, unplug the PC from the wall and press the power button, then remove the battery.

What monitor have you got? Has it got a settings menu that you can choose what the input is, ie HDMI or DP?

yes i did reset a few imes. monitor is gamepower.i need to choose dp or hdmi1 or hdmi2 each time

Update: today i went to friend. He has 2 monitors, samsung and rampage and both gave display! With my cable, his cable. dp or hdmi. both worked.

So this makes me think it is about this monitor that is not suitable for that bios or gpu. But before that system, with same gpu i could use this monitor. also now i am on that monitor with that laptop.

I put ssd and installed ubuntu also.

Tomorow div to hdmi converter will arrive from my order. I will last try with it to connect. If this also wont work, i dont know what to do excep buying new monitor :(

Let us know how you get on, that's a very strange problem tbh but hopefully the end of your issues are in sight.

yes i will. i hope it will be fixed. thank you.
What is the model of the monitor?

See if it works on your friends PC and if does see if he will swap for one of his. ;)

Wonder if it's a CSM/UEFI bios thing? May need CSM for the GPU to work in bios.

EDIT

Although that does not explain why it works with your friends monitors.
i also think to swap . probably it will work there. his one is 23 inch, other one is 25. mine is 27. but still can swap

my monitor is gamepower 27 inch curved

gamepower psu also ruined previous system according to comments people wrote to my posts.

mayne uefi thing maybe bios need update. I dont know what to do next after trying div converter. hard to carry 5 flloors without elevator every time to pc :(

Div to hdmi arrived and with it, it worked but resolution is really bad. I cant remember with hdmi if it was different.

It says dual but probably not dual. maybe better cable gives better results?

Now i can check bios for settings or bios update.

And gpu fan is not spinning . I ddid not notice before if it was turning. but i watched video and it did not spin .

After a lot of troubleshooting, I finally managed to get my display working properly. The issue was related to the AMD GPU drivers. it is radeon 400 series.

What Was the Problem?

My system was not displaying anything via HDMI or DP after connecting the GPU. Initially, I thought it was a hardware or BIOS issue, but it turned out to be a driver problem.

How i Fixed It:

  1. Disabled Secure Boot in BIOS to allow third-party drivers.
  2. Installed the latest AMD drivers using the following commands:
    sql
    CopyEdit
    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu

  3. also i downloaded from amd website as .deb files and installed
  4. Restarted the system, and both HDMI and DP started working correctly.
  5. Tested by connecting the monitor via both HDMI 1 and HDMI 2, and both worked fine.

Takeaway:

If you’re facing a similar issue, make sure to:

  • Disable Secure Boot in BIOS.
  • Use the correct AMD drivers from the official PPA.
  • Test with different ports (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, DP) after installation.

Hope this helps anyone struggling with similar GPU display issues!

Glad its all working and sharing how to fix it

Might be worth adding the fix to the original post so it does not get lost in replies.
