Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 19th January 2023]

His had several counts found not guilty by the way.

If he wins overall he should sue for damaging his image

That very much depends. Not guilty doesn't mean anything more than there wasn't enough evidence. I imagine you would have to prove that they had lied rather than they couldn't prove their claims.

I agree disgusting to be kept in prison that long for false allegations.

From what little I can find, he was in prison for the most part because he broke his bail conditions. They don't put people in prison for years without a trial in the UK unless they think there is a massive danger to the public. Christ they can't even hold you for more than 24 hours at a station unless they get permission from the high ups to do so.

And being found guilty can also mean that your defended was rubbish.

Anyways he should sue everyone that destroyed his name and career.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Hes still a City player getting paid his wages and it is still innocent until proven guilty. That doesn't mean that you are a completely free man until your day in court and can do whatever you want.

Greenwood isn't in jail but hes not playing for United right now. Hes still getting his wages paid.

You cannot sue people for anything unless you can prove that they acted with malice and lied. Unfortunately the pitfalls of being a high profile footballer is that if you are taken to court for something then it will be public domain and people will judge.

I'm not sure who you think he should be suing here either?
