They've all been subjective decisions iirc (handball, red cards, penalties), offside is absolute and I can't recall any incorrect offside decisions.
According to VAR he was off though.

But so far as I'm aware the "machine" involves a man pausing a video and drawing lines. It's perfectly feasible for him to be wrong. The video running at 60fps won't show the precise moment the ball leaves the passer's boot, and the camera angle isn't usually in line with the play. The tech isn't there to make these decisions down to the nearest mm so they need to stop pretending that it's so precise.
