I'm just watching back the key moments The reaction to Pepe's goal was something else.Live it was something else. You missed out.
A player that pulls another player's shirt isn't going for the ball, nor is a player that trips the opposition player. Intent doesn't matter, in fact I'd guess that the majority of red card challenges don't have any intent. The decision the ref has to make is whether a challenge has been made with excessive force that's likely to cause an injury. You can say it was a needless challenge but it's not like he's launched himself into Leno and absolutely flattened him. It was just unfortunate. You could repeat that situation 100 times and Leno wouldn't be injured again. I'd go as far as to say we probably see 4 or 5 similar challenges every game, with attackers/defenders going up for a header and the opposition player just jumps into them to stop them getting a clean header.I honestly feel he didn't go for the ball, I think he went for the keeper.
You realise that there's been 1 goal scored in the previous 3 Goodison derby's? In fact there's only been 3 goals in the previous 5. It's never a good game at Goodison.Worst Merseyside derby ever
Yea, it's not the same without Evertonian's celebrating corner kicksYeah but it feels so much better with an atmosphere
It's clearly not just because they were free to air or else the Arsenal - City game wouldn't have done so well. Similarly, the first weekend that the Bundesliga returned (not sure what's happened since) BT had 20-25% more viewers for the Dortmund game than what they got on average for a PL game - this wasn't free to air, a chunk of subscribers had paused their subscriptions and with BT showing a couple of other games at the same time. Viewing figures are massively up than ever before.Arsenal and City yeah I tuned in for that one but the others breaking records is just because they were free to air. It's what 30+ years since a league game has been free to air?
Yea although the scoreline might suggest their game plan wasn't up to much either. Is this a typo and you were referring to the plane incident?
