Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 21st November 2021]

A very good performance from us today. Arsenal done well to limit us to few chances in the first 20 mins or so but we were always in control of the game and as soon as we went ahead the spaces opened up for us and we tore through them like we usually do at Anfield.

Fingers crossed Milner, Keita, Robertson, Origi and even Firmino aren't too far from coming back because our bench today was worrying. Thankfully it's me, Pigeon and Purdy in midfield on Wednesday with Mark, Omnom and Minamino up front.

With they way they defend Liverpool about everything, surely Pigeon and Purdy would make a good CB partnership?

Whats the point of getting rid of him [ole] now? It make no sense what so ever to do it right now.

They could have done it a couple of weeks ago and got Conte.

Who comes in now? It’s just one bad decision after another, this season is another write off for United. Get the feelers out for Poch and see what’s happening there.

It isn’t exactly that hard to get a better coach than Ole and using this whole - we’ve tried world class managers before in LvG and Jose (both who where/are past it) - as an excuse to not even attempt to get a class coach in is nothing short of pathetic.

Glazers have a lot to answer for, if it was any other regularly business it would have collapsed by now. They can’t even get basic things right either. An asset that will be worth 0 in 12months that’s currently worth £5m costing £100k p/w, we’ve been offered £30m for it. Let’s keep it, even though we have no intention of keeping said asset. To then attempt sell the asset for £10m 6 months later, when everyone knows they’ll get it for free in a few months. It’s ******* bonkers.

Unless there is a manager willing to change clubs midseason then it has to be an interim. Things have got beyond the point where we can do nothing (so I expect the Glazers to do nothing)

Just seen Geoff Shreeves post match with Ole. Not sure why he felt the need to start asking about what he thinks about his position etc purposely trying to make Ole feel uncomfortable. Fair play for not telling him to **** off tbh.

Theres a problem with me upfront...im a cb usually. Ill cement the defence with Phillips.

In all seriousness id do this on wed

Kelleher

Tsimikas
Gomez
Konate
Williams (Though i think he goes Bradley)

Morton
Minamino
Henderson (If Ox can go again then Ox, I have a feeling thats why he brought him off...)

Gordon
Origi
You

Id be tempted to play the full under 23s + the cbs and Origi tbh. We have the right by winning the first four to completely rotate.

He's a **** to everyone, it's about getting a newsworthy reaction rather than an honest opinion of the match just played.

I don't think Gomez is fit and unless it's certain that both Keita and Milner are back at the weekend then I'm not sure we're risking Henderson after he picked up a niggle just last week @omnomnom

I agree but then why bring him on today when the game was basically over? I mean it was only 15 mins or so but Morton would have been fine to come on...

It's one thing to give him a 15 minute run out when the game is over and he can jog about the pitch but it's a very different thing for him to potentially have to play 2 x 90 minutes in the space of 3 days on the back of a muscle injury. We're playing Wednesday - Saturday, not the usual Tuesday - Saturday or Wednesday - Sunday and give how few options we have in midfield right now you have to almost assume that he'll need to play on Saturday.

I know it's a dead rubber for you but I'm not sure I'd risk playing Omnom, he loves a red :P
