Palace 1-3 Liverpool, Palace women 0-4 Liverpool women, Palace u23's 0-2 Liverpool u23's, all in the space of 24 hours. Do we now get to keep Crystal Palace?

This is one of the problems with how VAR is used. One cut-down clip from one angle in slow mo looks terrible, and that's the one the referees use to judge the incident. But when you have the whole context it's clearly not a red card.

Once they go to the monitor its almost guaranteed that the decision is going to be given. The implication of being asked to look at it on the monitor is that its serious and that the people on the monitors think its worthy of a change of decision. As you say though, they look at it at 1/10th speed which makes an innocuous foul look premeditated and executed with maximum malice.

Give the overpaid nancys a few weeks off to top up their tans.

In all seriousness though, its a good thing. Its been something the clubs have been pushing for and should ultimately be a good thing.

Celtic vs Rangers a great match so far, Celtic 1-0 up could be more all over Rangers really.
Interesting test for young Amad Diallo. Second match of loan spell and straight into an Old Firm match. He'll not have experienced anything quite like it. Japan 2 - Rangers 0
