Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 24th October 2022]

Could've been a cricket score if Forest had a finisher, absolutely embarrassing to see us play this way.

Obviously, we 'should' be better but if both had decent finishing we'd still be ahead :D

We have been spoiled with watching the best stuff over the past 5 that does make this brutal.

Too much will be made of us not having Nunez, Thiago etc we have been dreadful thus far.

Jones also hasn't progressed at all since his debut. Caevalho needs to be doing more I get he is young but still with how good he was at Fullham i expected more

What do Liverpool fans think is the solution to this current malaise. Spend big in the summer? Write off the season and try something different?

Seems to be a number of areas which are simply not performing at anything like their previous level. It it a problem in the middle of the pitch that is completely undermining the way you play?

If that's the case he's been left stranded then, has hardly been wide at all.
He's been feeding on scraps, Firmino's had zero involvement, Elliot and Carvalho have been running in to brick walls and the centre pairing have been overrun. Forgot Robertson was even playing, he's not overlapped once has he?

Write off the season and buy at least 1, preferably 2, midfielders in the coming windows. If its true that De Jong wants out in January I'd be pulling out the stops to get him, De Jong and Bellingham would make for a great midfield next season. IMO Midfield is still the root of all of our issues, both at the back and at the front.

If our results don't pick up soon, there's a big chance we won't even be playing European football next season. We can't match clubs for wages so who's coming to us?

Thing is thats only partially true...we COULD match clubs for wages, its a choice that we dont. Its a won't rather than a can't

We have a load of key players out. Get them back and it's a different team.

Oh and sign Mbappe in Jan.

Mbappe? Massive question marks about his attitude, wouldn't work hard for the team and wouldn't suit the way we play. If we have money to spend and we spend it on attackers rather than midfielders, sack everyone.
