I hope Casemiro has his permit sorted and can play. We really need to press on now and that will be another big boost for the team.

We could just as easily be rubbish again, but hopefully not.
 
I hope that dropping Maguire and Ronaldo wasn't a purely tactical move from EtH and they are both just squad players in his eyes. Hes right, without fight, nothing else matters. In the first two games we were outworked and outfought and the results reflected that. Maguire and Ronaldo don't have that fight. Ronaldo would rather lose and score 2 goals than win and score none. He would rather play 90 minutes and maximise his chances of scoring goals by conserving his energy than play 45 minutes and put the team first before coming off gassed.

I think Casemiro is a fighter and will hopefully hit the ground running and I assume alongside Fred we will have a much more robust midfield that will allow us to play higher up the pitch and put more pressure on the opposition.

I imagine Ten Hag has said nobody's place in the team is guaranteed regardless of their name or status. Rightly so.

 
Assuming (and hoping) Casemiro will start.

Southampton can play well so not expecting an easy game. We have to perform though to show the Liverpool game wasn’t a one off.

I missed the Liverpool game, so no doubt it’ll awful today now that I’ve time to watch one! :(

Makes sense in many ways. ETH will want to see if this starting 11 can replicate the effort they put in against Liverpool.

If we revert back to a Brentford performance then well… massively worrying.

Hope to see Casemiro for the second half.

I think it’s been made clear Ronaldo will now be a squad player. There’s talk of Napoli considering him.
