Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 29th May 2023]

Brentford came up with a much better squad. Everyone expected Bournemouth to go down this season. They've done fantastically to be where they are.

No we didn't. We came up with a squad with no Premier League experience in it - a couple of sub appearances aside. The Bournemouth squad had loads of players with Prem experience last season. We're just ******* amazing is all :D

Anyway... doing the double over Man City, finishing ninth, top team in West London, only 2 losses at home all year. Amazing season. Beat City, Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs this season! There are still Championship sides with bigger budgets than us. Leeds fans going on about us definitely suffering second season syndrome last August...

Going to be fascinating to see how we fare next season with no Toney, but he's missed 5 this season and we'd have taken 15 points in those 5 if it weren't for an injury time comedy OG conceded at Forest.

I expect Raya will go - Spurs, Man Utd, whoever. Not to bothered where he ends up but he's been one of the GKs of the season. Aside from him I reckon we'll trim the fat a bit and I'm excited to see who we bring in.

Nice parting gift from Moura, you will be missed. Will never forget what he did for us against Ajax with that hat-trick.

See ya pal :)

Well the crooks managed to keep Everton in the prem.

Shamefull 10mins of overtime.

Sooner lose them than Leicester.

How many he scored outside of the League isn't really relevant to Boro getting relegated though Adam. He only got 16 in the League.

Chelsea fans shouldnt be too disheartened by this season. When asked who will be most likely to challenge Man City for the title next season, Micah Richards said Chelsea.

So there you go, every cloud and all that.

16 out of 33 games is still 1 in 2. In a league that was a lot more physical.

My point is you have had in the past players score a lot of goals for a really poor team. Benteke is another one. He got 19 for Villa one season.

Kevin Philips got 30 in a season for Sunderland and finished 7th.

Kane getting 30 goals in that Spurs squad isn't outrageous. It is par for the course really.

Really can't decide who will be the biggest challengers to city next season. Will depend on the summer.

I feel like United are 3 signing away from being extremely close. A top CF, CM and CB. They will be a real force, the question will just be depth once again.

Arsenal, really depends on how they build on this year, young squad that can learn from this year's experience and add Rice and tie Saliba down, plus maybe another signing or two and they will be close again imo.

Chelsea, who knows what's going to happen there. Think they are 2-3 years away to challenge at least.

Liverpool, really depends on the summer again. The Midfield is in a dire state and seems desperate for an injection. The goals seem there from the forwards Diaz/Salah/Jota/Nunez and Gakpo is still a lethal choice to have up top, if they can add some class in CM I feel they may be up there.
