Great result today, could have been 4-4 if it wasn't for both keepers.

I know it's easy with hindsight but I really don't understand the one man midfield thing we tried today. I love Harvey Elliott but playing him + 2 has caused us so many problems already so to go in with Carvalho and then Firmino as one of the other 2 just seemed crazy. It's not just defensively that it leaves us so open and easy to break on but we're not able to sustain any pressure in attack either. I know Klopp commented pre-game that he wanted to keep Milner back to cover other positions but he should have started in midfield today - as he ended up doing anyway, Gomez was always on hand to switch to RB if needed.

This new automated var/offside system cannot come soon enough because there is no excuses for that Everton goal check taking as long as it did. From the naked eye you could see it was comfortably off and after a couple of minutes of fannying about the VAR lines showed it wasn't close too.

Yeah, City are full of goals atm, AVG of 4 goals in the last 5 games. That villa defence is. It the greatest either.

I think thats down to the Gomez+VVD partnership not working anywhere near as close to how well the VVD+Matip and VVD+Konate partnerships do.

That decision reminded me of a Liverpool Spurs game where we had a goal ruled out for handball in the build-up, when the handball was a result of a Spurs player man handling Firmino.
